Cut Collective’s Mark wins Laurence Sterne Prize

Beir Bua Press, the wonderful experimental poetry publisher, have announced the winners of their 2021 Laurence Sterne Prize and I’m thrilled to reveal that I’m one of them.

My two poetic essays, NEXT TO NOTHING and THIS WAS MEANT TO BE A STORY, will be published by the press on January 27, 2022. I am very excited and honoured to be published by such a dedicated, adventurous and - let’s face it - cool press and would like to thank the press’s editor Michelle Moloney King for seeing my work as worth putting out there.

Incidentally, Beir Bua also publish my fellow Cut Collective writer AJ Moore’s M(P)atriarchive, a superb collection based around her reframing and decryption of the patriarchal documents of officialdom to develop a wider, deeper, more human perspective on the women who were her forebears.
