Lizzie studied a BA in English Literature at the University of Sheffield. Last year she spent a year abroad in Cologne, Germany, an experience which has inspired a lot of her recent poetry. After enjoying the creative writing modules she did on her BA, she will soon be studying an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Manchester.

At the moment, Lizzie is particularly enjoying experimenting with auto-theory - her dissertation was on Deleuze and Guattari’s ‘Body without Organs’ which has become a huge creative inspiration. She finds the parallels between experimenting with form and structure in the human body and in writing really intriguing.

What we liked: There’s a robust intellectual engagement with theory in Body Experiments, but Lizzie never allows it to overwhelm a sense of appealing playfulness.
